Reflect On Your Game Idea!

  • WHO are you designing your game for? (Include the player's age, abilities, and prior knowledge of your topic.)
  • We are creating the game for teens. They should have at list a little bit of prior knowledge about the subject of our game.
  • WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? (Be specific!)
  • The game may have a player reflect on their opinions of illegal immigrants. They may even change their opinions.
  • WHERE does your game happen? On the border of United States and Mexico.
    • Describe the world you will design for your game. The world will be centered around the border, I guess.
    • How will this setting add to the learning experience? It will take the players to the next level of experience.
  • HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic? It shows them what the border is like.
    • What happens in the world that helps the player learn? How and why the immigrants are sent back.
    • How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game? They send them back to Mexico.
  • WHY is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz? Because it makes a boring topic fun.
