decorating our blog/wiki. we're supposed to put Christmas stuff up. So I guess I'll be putting Christmas pictures up. The snow doesn't like us to come to school either.
Here's a picture?

Paper Prototype
Today we're working on our paper prototype. We have the title screen done, and now we'll be working on the rest of them.

Blog post for the week.. #1.
We've been working on our paper prototypes for the game. So far we have the title screen drawn out. Today or tomorrow we'll start on the second page, or whatever comes next. This is pretty easy, compared to fighting with the computers. For some reason, I can't log on to my wiki, so I have to do my learning log from a different computer. I hope it gets fixed soon, because this is annoying. ):

Reflect On Your Game Idea!
- WHO are you designing your game for? (Include the player's age, abilities, and prior knowledge of your topic.)
- We are creating the game for teens. They should have at list a little bit of prior knowledge about the subject of our game.
- WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? (Be specific!)
- The game may have a player reflect on their opinions of illegal immigrants. They may even change their opinions.
- WHERE does your game happen? On the border of United States and Mexico.
- Describe the world you will design for your game. The world will be centered around the border, I guess.
- How will this setting add to the learning experience? It will take the players to the next level of experience.
- HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic? It shows them what the border is like.
- What happens in the world that helps the player learn? How and why the immigrants are sent back.
- How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game? They send them back to Mexico.
- WHY is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz? Because it makes a boring topic fun.

Caaaatch upppp...
Today is another catch up day. I wasn't here yesterday, so I guess I'll be working and trying to figure stuff out. AND, I did put my game idea on my wiki in flash the other day, so that's good.

Blog Post
Yesterday we didn't get to do anything, because the internet was down. It seems like it's always something. I turned my computer on today, the background is different, and there's stuff missing. Seriously? I think I have a different computer? I'm so confused. Oh well, I think I'll just try to wing it.

Mini Gaaaaame
For the past few days, we have been making paper prototypes of our mini games. It is pretty fun, I guess. It beats sitting at the computers, getting frustrated with them.

We've been updating stuff recently. Today we're updating our blogs and learning logs. I wasn't here yesterday, so I'm kind of getting caught up today.

Wellllll..
Since this website and gmail aren't working at the school, I guess I'll have to do this from home. Here is #1 blog of the week. I'll post #2 later this week. It would definitely be easier if the websites worked at school. It's hard to get everything done. Oh, and on top of that, Flash is amazingly slow, along with the computers. Oh well.

Reviewing Games
Recently, we've been reviewing the games that are on the wiki page. Some of them are actually pretty good. Others, not so much. :p
We've also had to answer questions about our game. I'm actually pretty excited to start working on it. (:
Random Pictures? I don't know. :p

Wiki Learning Log
It's actually pretty hard to remember to update that thing every day. Especially when it's home coming week, and there is battle of the classes drama. D: Oh well. Thanks for reminding us, Mrs. Turner. (:

Update on our game..
Our game really hasn't changed at all. We still have the same idea, and we're still using the same person. So that's good. (:
AND, I'm going to do a blog post from home later. :p

My thoughts on globaloria..
Now that I've been in Globaloria for a while, I have a better understanding of what's going on. I'm actually still interested. We have been playing a lot of games, to get a better idea of what we want to do, so I think that's pretty cool. Sooo, I'll be sticking with it. :p

today is lame..
It's raining outside, I want to go home, and I want to go to bed. A McChicken would be absolutely wonderful.
I did play a neat game on here though. "What Would You Do?" It was pretty entertaining. You just had to pick smart answers for real life situations.
We reviewed games too. I chose, "What Would You Do?" and "Bullseye"

The back of my phone is gone. ):
I was at the game Friday. Everything was okay until I realized the back of my droid was gone! D: Now what? I'm walking around with a backless phone, with the risk of water damage. That's great. I went to Verizon, they said that I could pay $90.00 for a new phone. ...I didn't want a new phone. I want a back to my phone! They didn't have any.. They said they could order it, but I would get water damage before then, because that would be my luck. So, I guess I'm just going to put a case on it.. Thank you, Verizon.

Eric and Karen
Their blogs are neat. Eric is obviously proud to be an American. :p
Karen's blog is pretty. She knows what she's doing. (:

How to be smart on the computer...
Never give out your address on the internet. It's really just common sense. (: Never give out your phone number either, oh, and keeping your full name private would also be a smart choice. (:
duh. :p
duh. :p

Palin vs. Aliens
Our game is about Illegal Immigrants, sending them back. With help from Palin, of course. :p We just want to see what other people see in our game, their views, opinions, and how they can help. There is, of course, a purpose to our game, but you have fun as well. Everybody wins. (:
What I Like About Globaloria...
I like that we have a lot of free time to do what we want with our blogs in the class. I also like the idea of the class; I think that making video games sounds pretty fun.
